This was the view from our towels--lots of kiddos of all ages having fun in the sun!
(As we were leaving my friend Jacque texted: "Want to meet for dinner?" So I got to catch up with two good friends on the same day. What a gift!)

Jealous. Pea green with envy. I believe I suffer from a bit of SAD or Vitamin D deficiency - not enough sun. I truly feel the lack of it. I can see it, just outside the window there. ;(
I am lobster red in places that missed getting sunblock slathered on. Every year I promise myself NOT to get burned, and every year a spot or two or three get missed. But it's better than it was when I was a kid--we ALWAYS burned all over.
You're talking to a Wonder Bread white woman. You know how the skin cancer risks go up if you had ___ (some number of) blistering sunburns before the age of whatever? I always just WAS a blister. You couldn't really tell where one began and ended. THEN I spent my life on the ocean. THEN I spent/spend my life in the desert. Hmmm . . .
Gotta love summer!
