...an ode to spring

Spring

Itching to ride

but the wind blows sideways

or the rain pours down.

Beautiful blossoms

make Claritin a much needed companion

to the daily prayer for calm, dry, sunny days.

Oh Spring!

You tricked me.

I thought by now my extra winter baggage would be falling away

leaving no trace as it hit the pavement beneath my wheels.

Waiting, impatiently...

Whoa, Doozyanner - that's VERY good. You are a deft hand at poetry. And I share your sentiments. I've been reviewing some recent posts and I feel like an old biddy. All I do is gritch on and on about the wind and the allergies. I wonder if it becomes more intolerable as we age or if it truly has been a longer wait for peace and warmth this year?

WV - orsht. Orsht I wish the wind would stop blowing!

Thanks, Limes. And STILL, the wind blows! Usually we get a few days reprieve in between the gale forces--I was SURE I'd get a ride in this afternoon.

Had a beautiful weekend. Surely you got some riding in?

Been thinking about the book list thing. I've thought of a couple recommendations for you.
