The main street in Seaside is decked out with these clever lights.
Janie, Chris, Liam, Kathryn and I enjoyed good food and conversation on Friday night.
On Saturday morning I got up early and walked on the beach for an hour. Not much to see when it's so dark, but the sound of the surf and salty air were wonderful!
After breakfast I had to go back for one more look in the daylight.
Liam entertained us after lunch. What a cutie!
The whole ELL crew--plus one! The sun came out and we didn't want to leave.

A delightful break in less than delightful times (for education). I'm glad I'm not representing classified school employees in this economic climate. I think I'd be tempted to jump off a bridge. Your post made me feel very sad and lonely for the beach. Maybe I need to do that for myself soon!
What fun! Makes me wish I had become a teacher, but oh wait, then I would have to deal with other people's kids. Guess I'll stick with being a pusher for my addicts.
It was indeed a blast. Thank you for being such a good friend to Janie and I and a wonderful auntie for Liam.
