...a little taste of heaven

(My neighbor Maria brought these back from the Willamette Valley--these are not your ordinary grocery store strawberries! Yum.)

How beautiful! The red berries against the intense blue ceramic! Being homegrown, I bet they even had some flavor to them, too. I've given up buying them. Water, fiber and no flavor.

The flavor was incredible. I ate them like candy. :-) So nice to have neighbors who share!

Oh and cobalt blue is "my" color. It touches me at a soul level--not sure why, but it does. I could easily surround myself with it and never tire of it. See my Jan. 11th post for more. :-)

I will go look at that post. Blue isn't my favorite any more - it's been stuffed down my throat all my life. But I'm drawn to MANY colors. It's part of the quilting mystique. I have a saying. When I walk into a fabric store, it speaks to me.

Ha! Me too! I put myself through college working at a fabric store and can see myself working in one again after retirement. I need to get busy sewing....

Oh, and I don't wear cobalt blue--just surround myself with it.

Ah! You see, I was always required to wear it. After retirement (what's returement?) a fabric store would be a fine place to spend time, even if behind the cash register.

I was made to wear orange because of my coloring. I used to hate it--until I grew up and realized that I DO look good in softer shades. But still have a hard time wearing pumpkin orange.
